  • Spring Break Maker Day Camp set for March 27

    TELL CITY – A fun, interactive day camp is offered for youth in grades 3-6 on March 27.

    This is a great way to have fun and learn with tech toys while on Spring Break. Youth are invited to join Kreative Korner Maker Day Camp on Monday, March 27, where they will learn and experiment with new and exciting technology without having to buy expensive equipment.

  • Anderson Township Fire annual meeting Monday

    BRISTOW – The 68th annual meeting of the Anderson Township Fire Department Inc. will be Monday, March 6, at the Bristow Community Center. The business meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. and will include election of Directors 1, 6, 7 and 8. The program for the evening will include an presentation by Phil Schuetter, Conservation Officer.

    The $40 membership dues can be paid at the meeting.

  • Cancer benefit for Barbara Fulton March 18

    TELL CITY – There will be a Cancer Benefit for Barbara Fulton held Saturday, March 18, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Moose Home in Tell City.

    There will be music by Cannelcade of Music, a 50/50 raffle, door prizes, a silent auction and food served.

    Fried chicken dinners will be presold for the benefit until Thursday, March 9. Each dinner will consist of two pieces of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, corn and slaw for $8.   • Bridal, prom show Sunday at Tell City American Legion

    TELL CITY – Cinderella’s will host a bridal and prom expo in Tell City Sunday at American Legion Post 213. The event will begin at 1 p.m. and will continue until 4 p.m.

    Two shows are planned, at 1:45 and 3 p.m. The Legion’s large meeting room has recently been remodeled and repainted.

  • Perry County 4-H to host mulch fundraiser

    PERRY COUNTY – Perry County’s 4-H organization is planning a mulch fundraiser. A team of 4-H volunteers and junior leaders, with at least one supervising adult, will spread the mulch.

  • Tell City Tractor Supply hosting FFA fundraiser

    PERRY COUNTY – The Tell City Tractor Supply Co. store will collect donations during National FFA Week to support grants for FFA chapters in Indiana.

    During National FFA Week, Feb. 17-26, Tractor Supply shoppers can donate $1 or more at checkout. Donations will fund the Grants for Growing Program, which supports FFA chapters in the state that are making a difference in their communities with unique and sustainable agricultural projects.

    The program is coordinated through a partnership with the National FFA Foundation and Tractor Supply.

  • Renaissance class yard sale set for March 18

    TELL CITY – The Tell City Junior-Senior High School Renaissance Class has scheduled its annual yard sale for Saturday, March 18, in the school’s auxiliary gym.

    The sale will be held from 6 a.m. to noon.

    Those attending are asked to enter through the student parking lot doors.

    Items available will include women’s, men’s and children’s apparel, household items, home décor, toys, furniture, appliances and a variety of books.

  • Cornerstone school soup supper Saturday

    CANNELTON – Cornerstone Christian School will hold its annual all-you-can-eat soup supper Saturday, Feb. 25, at Freewill Baptist Church, located at 117 South Second St., Cannelton. Offerings will include chili, veggie soup, potato soup, bean soup, cornbread, crackers, dessert and a drink all for just $8 per adult, $4 for children four years old to 10 years old, and under 4 is free. Serving will begin at 4 p.m. and go until 7.

  • Ladies Lenten coffees to begin March 4

    PERRY COUNTY – The Ladies Lenten Prayer Coffees will be held according to the following schedule.  All women and girls are invited to attend. There will be an offering taken at each session. At the final session, the group will decide which local charity will receive the offering. There will be light breakfast and a program at each session.

    All sessions will be from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

  • ‘Beauty and the Beast’ coming to library

    CANNELTON – For those who would like to revisit the original Beauty and the Beast movie in anticipation of the live-action remake, join patrons and staff of Perry County Public Library – Cannelton Branch Monday, March 20, for viewings of the Disney animated version of Beauty and the Beast, movie-themed crafts and fun-maker activities.

    Movie showings will start at approximately 1, 2:30 and 4 p.m. in the meeting room. Feel free to watch the whole movie or just long enough to get a quick snack.
