TELL CITY – The St. Paul’s Scrapbooking Group will sponsor the second annual scrapbooking, card-making and general crafting crop “Mission Possible” from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 26 at the parish hall.
Cost is $25 per person and will include snacks, lunch, drinks, goodie bags and prizes. Friends registering together may enter the crop for only $45. All proceeds will go to support the St. Paul Catholic Church’s 2013 youth mission trip to Kenosha, Wis.

BRISTOW – The Perry County Soil and Water Conservation District will host its 65th annual meeting Tuesday, Jan. 22, at the Bristow Community Center. The 6:30 p.m. meeting begins with dinner, followed by Joe Sullivan, warning coordination meteorologist for the U.S. National Weather Service. He will speak on recently climate history and climate change.
Cost of the meal is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and younger. Reservations are needed by 11 a.m. Jan. 18 and can be made by calling 547-4686.

Former governor to host book signing
TELL CITY – Former Indiana Governor Edgar Whitcomb will hold a book signing from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Cinderella’s in Tell City.

JASPER – Crisis Connection will provide a free training session Dec. 17 on stewards of children. Stewards of Children is a revolutionary interactive prevention program, developed by Darkness to Light Inc., a national child sexual abuse prevention organization. The program educates adults to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse and to take proactive steps to protect children.
The mission of Crisis Connection Inc. is to enlighten and empower people to adopt zero tolerance toward interpersonal, domestic and sexual violence.
