TELL CITY – The Perry Central After-Prom Committee is once again sponsoring its annual formal and prom dress sale fundraiser March 3 at the Schergens Center in Tell City.
The sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. To participate, take clean dresses to the Schergens Center March 3. There is a fee to enter the dresses and the seller will set the sale price and receive the total purchase prise of their dresses. Cost to submit one to four dresses is $10; five to nine dresses is $15 and 10 or more dresses is $20.

Chili cook-off set for Sunday at Santa Claus Legion
SANTA CLAUS – Santa Claus American Legion Post 242 will host a chili cook-off Sunday at the post home. Doors open at noon with judging at 2 p.m. Those entering should take a slow cooker of already prepared chili. Entry fee is $20 with the first-place winner receiving $150. The second-place award is $50. Pre-registration isn’t required. For more information, call 937-2611.

Kite workshop at the Patoka Lake

CANNELTON – With spring around the corner, Cannelton Street Commissioner David Marsh advises residents the street department will begin preparing the city’s graveyards for cleanup.
These preparations will include pulling all flowers around the bases of headstones in the ground, removing all shepherd’s hooks also placed near headstones and cleaning off all items on the bases of the headstones as they are harmful to the city’s mowers and workers using trimmers.

TELL CITY – The Lafayette Spring Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution announces Kandie Atkinson, administrative specialist with the Kentucky Land Office Branch, will speak at the group’s monthly meeting March 13.
This meeting will be open to the public and begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Perry County Public Library – Tell City branch.
