    TELL CITY – The Tell City Fire Department will serve chicken dinners at the fire station at 12th and Mozart streets, Sunday, July 23. Serving will begin at 10:30 a.m. Dinners will include a half-chicken, creek fries and green beans.

     

  • Led Zeppelin tribute band to grace Lincoln Amphitheatre stage in July

    LINCOLN CITY – Zoso: The Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience will perform at Lincoln Amphitheatre Saturday, July 22, with supporting act Eighty Sixt.

    The all-ages event will begin at 6:30 p.m., with doors opening at 5 p.m.

    Zoso: The Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience formed in 1995 to perform the most accurate and captivating Led Zeppelin live show since, well, the real thing. For Zoso, it’s much more than just being a tribute. It’s about touching a golden era in music.

  • ‘Young Abe Lincoln’ continues on stage

    LINCOLN CITY – Two score years ago, the Lincoln Club of Southern Indiana organized the Lincoln Boyhood Drama Association with the aim of telling the story of Indiana’s most famous resident through the medium of outdoor drama.

    After a decade of dedicated labor on the part of local volunteers, the state allocated $3.2 million through the Indiana Department of Natural Resources to build an amphitheatre in Lincoln State Park, which was completed in 1987.

    Marksmen car washes July 22

     

    TELL CITY – The Tell City Marching Marksmen will hold a free car wash at three locations July 22, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.: the Toolman Tim’s parking lot, Fifth Third Bank parking lot and Noble’s IGA parking lot.

  • ‘Young Abe Lincoln’ returns to the Amphitheatre for the first time since 2005

    LINCOLN CITY – “Young Abe Lincoln” will make its triumphant return to the Lincoln Amphitheatre’s performance stage for the first time since its initial 19-year run ended in 2005. 

    The celebratory 30th anniversary edition will run on July 6-8 and 13-15.  Doors for each performance will open at 6 p.m. Central time with a 7 p.m. show time.

  • Arts event July 8 at City Hall

    TELL CITY – The Tell City Regional Arts Association will host its second annual evening of art at City Hall in Tell City on Saturday, July 8, from 5 to 9 p.m.

    Features of the evening include wine and beer tasting from Blue Heron, Winzerwald wineries and craft beer from St. Benedict’s Brew Work. Light snacks and many displays of local artists work will be available for view. There is no charge for the event but donations will be accepted to help with future events.

  • The Big O Music Fest to return for ninth year July 8

    OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Big O Music Fest will return to Owensboro, Ky., for the ninth time July 8. Gates will open at noon and tickets cost $49.50 each.

    The headliner for the event is Cole Swindell. Supporting acts include Colt Ford, Moon Taxi, Craig Campbell, Tucker Beathard, Dylan Scott and Muscadine Bloodline.

  • Grief support group to meet July 6

    TELL CITY – A grief support group will meet at the Club House at The Villas of Oakwood Thursday, July 6, at 6 p.m.
