    Shutt guest speaker at Gospel Tabernacle
    CANNELTON – Gospel Tabernacle Church in Cannelton will welcome special guest speaker the Rev. Patty Shutt during 1 p.m. worship March 18.
    The public is invited to attend.
    The church will also begin midweek Bible study sessions at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays starting March 14.

    St. Boniface fish dinner Friday
    FULDA – The parish family of St. Boniface Catholic Church invites the community to a fish dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church parish center.
    Fish dinners will be served and the meal will consist of two boneless fish fillets, bread, dessert, drink and your choice of three sides: German fries, macaroni and cheese, baked beans or slaw. Take out will be available and cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children.

  • Signs of Glory seminar kicks off Friday

    TELL CITY – A Signs of Glory prophecy seminar will be held beginning Friday at Fifth Third Bank in Tell City.
    The seminar is presented as a “community service to all people,” a brochure of the event stated. The first meeting will be at 7 p.m. Friday with an opening program titled “History is His Story.”
    “Strange Man of Mud and Metal,” will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, “Sleeping Through the Sirens” will be at 7 p.m. Sunday and the final presentation, “Why So Much Suffering?” will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

    St. John’s Lenten worship set
    EVANSTON – St. John’s Lutheran Church in Evanston will hold Lenten worship services every Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m.
    The Board of Education will serve soup and sandwiches every Wednesday evening starting at 5:30 p.m.
    The church is located 1⁄2 mile west of New Boston on County Road 1160 North. The Rev. Mile Mueller is pastor and may be reached at 547 2007 for information. Everyone is invited to the Lenten services and meals.

  • First Baptist Church welcomes new interim pastor Bob Johnson

    TELL CITY – The First Baptist Church of Tell City announces Dr. Bob I. Johnson will serve as the congregation’s interim pastor following the retirement of long-time pastor Lee Brown. He will lead in the Sunday worship services and be available for pastoral care. Johnson began his ministry Feb. 5.

    ‘A Taste of Italy’ set for Feb. 25 in Santa Claus
    SANTA CLAUS – St. Nicholas Catholic Church will host “A Taste of Italy” dinner at the Santa Claus Community Center from 4 to 8 p.m. Feb. 25. The public is invited.
    The dinner includes a choice of spaghetti with marinara sauce and meatballs or penne pasta with alfredo sauce and chicken, plus salad, breadsticks, dessert and beverage.
    The cost is $9 for adults, $5 for kids 12 and under, and free for those age 3 and under.

  • Lenten breakfasts continue Saturday

    PERRY COUNTY — The Men’s Lenten Breakfast Fellowship Group of Perry County will continue its 43rd annual Lenten breakfast series. Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tell City will host Saturday's breakfast. The breakfasts will continue each Saturday morning throughout the Lenten season from 7 to 8 a.m. Donations are $3.
    The final Saturday meeting will be April 7, Tell City United Methodist Church, Tell City.

  • Lenten prayer coffees ends Saturday

    PERRY COUNTY – The Ladies Lenten Prayer Coffees will conclude this Saturday at Tell City United Methodist Church. The session will be held from 9 to 10 a.m.
    The Coffees will have light refreshments. A love offering will be taken at each coffee. Those attending the last session will determine what local agency will receive the offering.
    All women and girls of the community are invited to take part.  There will be a short program at each session.

  • First Baptist to host Promise Sunday

    CANNELTON – First Baptist Church, 325 Fourth St., Cannelton, invites the public to a special performance by Christian group Promise at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the church.
    There will be a short service before the group performs. There is no cost to attend, but love offerings will be accepted.
