    Matt and Stephanie Glenn of Tell City announce the birth of their son, Gavin Lee Glenn, Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at the Women’s Hospital in Newburgh.
    The infant weighed 8 pounds, 12 ounces and was 201/2 inches long.
    Mrs. Glenn is the former Stephanie Bosley. Gavin has one older brother, Levi, 21/2.
    Grandparents are Brian and Joan Lasher of Rockport, Dave Bosley of Tell City and Harold Lee and Kathy Glenn of Cannelton.
    Great-grandparents are Ovalee and Dorothy LaGrange of Tell City and Iola Lasher of Leopold.

  • Creed Matthew Parks

    Matt and Candy Parks of Cannelton announce the birth of their son, Creed Matthew Parks, Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at Owensboro Regional Hospital in Owensboro, Ky.
    The infant weighed 8 pounds, 11 ounces and was 211/4 inches long.
    Mrs. Parks is the former Candy Jarboe. Creed has one older brother, Trent, 5.
    Grandparents are Angie Jarboe of Tell City, Mike and JoAnn Smith of English, Larry Parks of Marengo and the late Terry Jarboe.
    Great-grandmother is Mary Manship of Paoli.

  • Landscape artist to display work at abbey

    SAINT MEINRAD – Saint Meinrad Archabbey Library Gallery will host an exhibit of landscape paintings in oil and mixed-media prints by Philadelphia artist Clay Johnson. The exhibit will be on display from Saturday to March 28.

    Johnson paints on site, beginning his work with careful observation of his surroundings. He explains, “I look until I see something that moves me and then I construct a painting around that experience.”
    Free play of the imagination is his aim, rather than objective reporting. Color and light are central.

    Adam and Natalie Tempel of Tell City announce the birth of their daughter, Molly Kay Tempel, Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Memorial Hospital in Jasper.
    The infant weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long.
    Mrs. Tempel is the former Natalie Gogel.
    Grandparents are Patrick and Cindy Gogel of Mariah Hill and Phillip and Rosanna Tempel of Lincoln City.
    Great-grandparents are Virlee Zoglman of St. Meinrad, Leander Tempel of Dale, Gilbert and Ruth Esarey of Bristow and the late Renus Zoglman, Leo and Edwina Gogel and Edna Tempel.

    Mrs. Taylor is the former Brittany Jones. Jett has two older siblings, Aiden Taylor, 6, and Kaleb Taylor, 3.

    Mrs. Ebert is the former Theresa Kleaving. Luke has an older brother, Ben, 6, and an older sister, Claudia, 4.
    Maternal grandparents are Gilbert and Margie Kleaving of Tell City. Paternal grandparents are James and Kathleen Ebert of Ferdinand.

    Derek and Kip Leitner of Sidney, Ohio, announce the birth of their son, Grayson Lee, Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney.
    The infant weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces and was 20 inches long.
    Mrs. Leitner is the former Kip Klingel from Marion, Ohio. Grayson has two older brothers, Evan Joseph, 7, and Landon Alexander, 5.
