    Gaylord and Wanda Wittmer of Tell City will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, June 23, 2012.

    Mr. Wittmer and the former Wanda Solbrig were married June 30, 1962, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Leopold. Their attendants were Carolyn (Solbrig) Poehlein, Norma (Solbrig) Rogier, Carolyn (Wittmer) Luecke, Charles Albert James, Marvin Rogier and Bernard Luecke.

  • Phil and Phyllis Junker

    Phil and Phyllis Junker will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Stardust Hills Community Center, 1000 Fry Road, Cloverdale. The event will be hosted by their daughter, Michelle Junker Fields.

    Mr. Junker married the former Phyllis Teschmacher June 9, 1962, at the First Methodist Church in Rockville.
    The couple are the parents of two children, Erik Junker of Danville and Michelle Fields of Ellettsville. They also have five grandchildren, Denver, Molly, Kennedy, Meredith and Allison.

  • Tom and Irene Damin

    Tom and Irene Damin of Tell City will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Thursday, May 24, 2012.

    Mr. Damin married the former Irene Early May 24, 1952, at the old St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City.

  • Michael and Cheryl Wollenmann

    Michael and Cheryl Wollenmann of Bristow celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary April 23, 2012.

    Mr. Wollenmann married the former Cheryl Blake, April 23, 1977, at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church.
    The couple has two daughters, Tracy Durcholz and her husband, Mark of Ferdinand and Amanda Wollenmann of Bristow. They also have two grandchildren, Landon and Claire.

  • George and Geneva Gilliland

    The family of George and Geneva Gilliland surprised the couple with a lunch at Ponderosa Steak House in honor of their 61st wedding anniversary.

  • Richard and Noreida Paulin

    Richard and Noreida Paulin of Bristow will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, April 21, 2012. There will be an open house from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at St. Meinrad American Legion. All family and friends are invited to attend. The couple requests no gifts.

    Richard Paulin and the former Noreida Fischer Merkley were married May 5, 1962, at Holy Family Church in Jasper. Their attendants were Neva (Merkley) Arendt, Jane (Merkley) Jenkins and the late Janet (Merkley) Quante, Roman Mehringer, Dennis Baur and Bobby Cox.

  • John and Betty Bowman

    John and Betty Bowman celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Feb. 25, 2012, at the Patio Steakhouse in Cannelton. The surprise event was hosted by their family.

    Mr. Bowman married the former Betty Storm March 1, 1947, at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Cannelton. The Rev. Edwin Riske officiated.
    Their attendants were the late Charles Bowman, brother of Mr. Bowman, and the late Ida Mae (Freeman) Mosby.

  • William and Loma Morgan

    William and Loma (Curl) Morgan of Richland celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Jan. 18, 2012, with a cruise to the Caribbean.

    The couple were married in Hilham Jan. 18, 1952, by the Rev. Woodrow Archer.
    They have five children, David and Caroline Morgan of Pinon, Ariz., Diana and Jimmy Carter of Richland, Mickey and Cheryl Morgan of Rockport, Susan and Hal Meyer of Florida and Kevin and Cindy Morgan of Owensboro, Ky. They also have 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

  • Ralph and LaVerne Zuelly

    Ralph and LaVerne Zuelly celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Dec. 26 at the Patio Steakhouse in Cannelton. The event was hosted by their children.

    Mr. Zuelly married the former LaVerne Kleaving Jan. 14, 1947, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City. Their attendants were Geraldine George, sister of the bride, and Charles “Chuck” Burst, a friend of the groom.

  • Jeff and Jane Varner

    Jeff and Jane Varner reaffirmed their union of marriage Jan. 1, 2012, by renewing their wedding vows.
    The ceremony was officiated by Pastor Dea Good and witnessed by the congregation of the Cannelton Gospel Tabernacle Church.
