Anniversaries

Carl and K. Jeanene Champion of Tell City plan to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary June 29, 2012, with their family.

Mr. Champion and the former K. Jeanene Haynes were married June 29, 1952, at Trinity Methodist Church in Rockport.
They are the parents of Carla K. Weatherholt of Rotonda Way, Fla., and Jeffrey L. Champion and Camilla J. Ayer, both of Santa Claus. They have five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Champion is retired from Maxon Marine Industries and K. Jeanene is retired from General Electric.

Kenny and Rhonda Schaefer of Bristow will celebrate their 21st wedding anniversary Thursday, June 14, 2012, (today).

Mr. Schaefer married the former Rhonda Hubert June 4, 1991. The couple has one daughter, Jennifer Weatherholt.
Mr. Schaefer is a truck driver for Automated Routing and Mrs. Schaefer owns and operates Schaefer Farms.

Mike and Alisa Poehlein of Cannelton marked their 40th wedding anniversary Sunday, June 10, 2012.
The couple will celebrate with a family gathering at a later date.

Mr. Poehlein married the former Alisa Meyer June 10, 1972, at Salem United Church of Christ in Westphalia.
They have two daughters, Rachelle Blackford (Greg) and Shawna Etheridge, both of Evansville. The couple also has four grandchildren, Sydney, Hayden, Blake and Madison.
Mr. Poehlein works at National Office Furniture in Santa Claus and Mrs. Poehlein is a housewife.

Phil and Phyllis Junker will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Stardust Hills Community Center, 1000 Fry Road, Cloverdale. The event will be hosted by their daughter, Michelle Junker Fields.

Mr. Junker married the former Phyllis Teschmacher June 9, 1962, at the First Methodist Church in Rockville.
The couple are the parents of two children, Erik Junker of Danville and Michelle Fields of Ellettsville. They also have five grandchildren, Denver, Molly, Kennedy, Meredith and Allison.
