    Mr. and Mrs. Norman Lange of Ferdinand will celebrate their silver anniversary with a Mass of Thanksgiving at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at Ferdinand Catholic Church. A reception will follow Mass at the Ferdinand American Legion for family members only.

    Mr. Lange and Sharon Rogier were married Aug. 22, 1987, at St. Isidore Catholic Church near Bristow by the Rev. Keith McClellan.
    Their attendants were Carol Schwoeppe, Darla Sixx, Diane Harrison, Mary Cassidy Richard, Ernest Lange and the late Alfred and John Lange.

    Jon and Kiffani Michel of Cannelton will celebrate their 10-year wedding anniversary Aug. 10, 2012.
    Mr. and Mrs. Michel were married Aug. 10, 2002, at Fort Hood, Killeen, Texas.

    The couple have two children, Dakoda Faith Michel, 4, and Sierra Katelyn Michel, 2.

  • John and Fannie Roberson

    John H. and Fannie B. Roberson of Canton, Ga., formerly of Derby, were honored with a surprise 70th wedding anniversary party June 27 at the Lodge at Bridgemill, where they now live.
    The event was hosted by their children and grandchildren and everyone at the Lodge was invited. About 60 people attended to congratulate the couple and to hear the singer Raquel Buspos, who sang the couple’s favorite songs.

    Michael and Mary Schriefer of Santa Claus celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary June 24, 2012.

    Michael C. “Mike” Schriefer and Mary E. Oeding were married June 24, 1972, in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, Ferdinand. The Rev. Firmus Dick officiated.
    The Schriefers have two children, Matthew of Newburgh and Maria (Mrs. Damian) Koch of rural Boonville. They also have a granddaughter, Elizabeth Koch.

    Peg and Ty McDaniel of Parrish, Fla., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in February by attending the Diocese of Venice’s annual wedding anniversary Mass at Epiphany Cathedral in Venice, Fla.

    Bishop Frank J. DeWane presided and led the couple in a ceremonial renewal of vows. They also celebrated the anniversary by going on a Carnival cruise to Nassau in the Bahamas, St. Maartens and St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands.

    Herman and Carolyn Theis of Tell City celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 23, 2012, with their family.

    Mr. Theis and the former Carolyn Brinksneader were married June 23, 1962, at St. Pius Catholic Church in Troy. The Rev. Eugene Weidman officiated the ceremony in the presence of family and friends.
    The couple are the parents of Mike Theis and his wife, Terri, Mark and Danny Theis, all of Tell City, Jason Theis of Henryville and Terri (Theis) Shane and her husband, Rick of Kalamazoo, Mich.

    Joseph and Beverly Keller of Tell City celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary June 2, 2012, at West Boggs Lake in Loogootee.

    Mr. Keller married the former Beverly Peters June 2, 1972, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Tell City.
    They are the parents of Susan (Jason) Martin of Ferdinand and Joseph Keller Jr. of Tell City. Their grandchildren are Eli, Owen and Isaac Martin.
    Mr. Keller is retired from Boilermakers Local 374 and Mrs. Keller is a registered nurse employed by Vista Care Hospice.

    Nathan and Bettye Miller will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary June 28, 2012, (today) with their family.

    Mr. Miller and the former Bettye Raaf were married June 28, 1947, at St. Paul’s Rectory in Tell City.
    The couple are the parents of Dan Miller (Joyce) of Minneapolis, Minn., Steve Miller (Laurie) of Bloomington, Beth Bosler (Gary) of Lebanon, Pa., Tim Miller (Karen) of Tell City, Greg Miller (Karen) of Boonville and Brad Miller (Connie) of Boonville. They have 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

    Dolph Jr. and Faye Foster celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 7, 2012.

    Mr. Foster married the former Faye Sandage of Bristow during a private ceremony June 7, 1952, in Corydon.
    They are the parents of Robert J. Foster of Carlisle, Cindy A. (Foster) Kleeman of Tell City, Timothy W. Foster of St. Meinrad and the late David Lee Foster. They have nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
