  • Mr. and Mrs. Doug Galey

    Doug and Jean Galey of St. Croix celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 14, 2017, at the Derby Community Center with a dinner among friends and family. The couple was married at Branchville Methodist Church Oct. 14, 1967.

    They have three children, Richard Galey of Georgetown, Keith (Jackie) Galey of Evansville and David (April) Galey of St. Croix; and four grandchildren, Sidney, Jackson, Shelby and Vivian Galey.

    Jean’s siblings include James Knieriem, Faye Evrard, Donnie Knieriem and Joyce Tooke. Doug had a sister, the late Lavaughn Sprinkle.

  • Mark and Carolyn Lindauer

    Mark and Carolyn Lindauer of Cannelton will celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary Nov. 17. The couple was married Nov. 17, 1982, at Calvary Church in Troy.

    They have three children, Adam Lindauer of Gentryville, Thomas Lindauer of Tell City and Melissa Cronin of Cannelton. Their grandchildren are Jordan Lindauer, Ryder Lindauer, Julia Williams, Bryce Lindauer, Melanie Cronin and Abel Cronin.

    Carolyn, the former Carolyn Vinson, is employed at Abbco.

  • George and Wilda Frakes

    George and Wilda Frakes of West Frankfort, Ill., celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.

    Mr. Frakes and the former Wilda Jackson were married on Dec. 7, 1946, at First Methodist Church in Owensboro, Ky.

    George is retired from United Mine Workers and worked at the Old Ben Mine 25. Wilda is a homemaker.

    George is the son of the late Elwood and Minnie Frakes. Wilda is the daughter of Everett and Jennie Jackson.

  • Bill and Rita Mosby

    Bill L. Mosby and Rita J. Dutschke were wed at New Hope Baptist Church in Newtonville, on Oct. 17, 1987. They are the proud parents of five children: Kyle and wife, Meredith, of Tennyson, Jay and fiancée, Katy, of Evansville, Hannah of Evansville, Shane and fiancée, Isabel, of Indianapolis and Leah still at home in Lamar.

    Parents of the couple are Robert and Darlene Mosby of Rockport and Walter and Dorothy Sanders of Hawesville, Ky., and the late Kenneth M. Dutschke. Also, still living is paternal Grandma Betty Windham of Rockport.

  • Jim and Georgena Chesterfield

    Jim and Georgena Chesterfield of Bristow will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, Oct. 14, with an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. at the home of Eugene and Delores Welp.

    Jim and Georgena have two children, Georgena Evasuzann Bobe and James Chesterfield Jr., both of Bristow, a daughter in law, Heather Chesterfield and three grandchildren, David Bobe, Caitlyn Chesterfield and Caleigh Chesterfield.

  • Carol and Don Dauby

    Don and Carol Dauby of Tell City will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 7 surrounded by family and with a Mass at St. Paul Catholic Church.

    The couple first exchanged vows Oct. 7, 1967, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City.

    Don and the former Carol Sue Strobel have two children, Greg Dauby and his wife, Rae Ann, of Tell City and Nancy Dauby Meyer and her husband, Heath, of Carmel. They also have three grandchildren, Anthony Dauby of Tell City and Christina Meyer and Jake Meyer of Carmel.

  • Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Esarey

    Gilbert and Ruth Esarey of Bristow will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with an open house on Oct. 1st at Bristow Community Center from 1:30-3:30 Central time.

    Gilbert Esarey and Ruth Harpenau were married on Sept. 30, 1952, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Perry County.  Their attendants were Agnes (Harpenau) Hosler, James King, Peggy (Schellenberg) Harpenau and James Harpenau. 

  • Mr. and Mrs. Larry Beatty

    Floretta and Larry Beatty of Tell City celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last Sunday at a family gathering hosted by their daughter and her family.   

    They were married Sept. 14, 1957, at Evangelical United Church of Christ in Tell City. 

    The couple has two children, Darla (Chris) Goffinet of Tell City, and the late Marcia (Bill) Barth of Louisville, Ky. 

    Grandchildren are Lauren (Brittany Roark), Sarah and Reed Goffinet and Dylan, Conor and Colin Barth. 

  • Mary and Roy Raider

    Mary and Roy Raider of Grandview celebrated 50 years of marriage at a surprise party, hosted by their children and their families, July 15 at the Pour Haus in Tell City.

    They were first married Aug. 26, 1967, at First Christian Church in Columbus.

    The couple has two children, Rebecca (Scott) Kasmer of Avon and John Raider of Porter, Texas.

    Grandchildren are Rayden, Ganen and Austin Kasmer and Lucas and Gabriela Raider.

    Both Mary and Roy are retired.

  • Dorothy and Edward Hoffman

    Dorothy and Edward Hoffman will celebrate their 60-year reunion Aug. 24.

    They were married Aug. 24, 1957, in Bristow.

    The couple have five children, Ron Hoffman of West Lafayette, Vicky Hagan of Hawesville, Ky., Jane Schenk of Evansville, Jean Robinson of Orlando, Fla., and Jim Hoffman of Newburgh; and 11 grandchildren.

    Mr. Hoffman retired from Abbey Press in St. Meinrad. Mrs. Hoffman retired from Wal-Mart in Tell City. 

    Mrs. Hoffman is the former Dorothy Holman.
