Anniversaries

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Vaal of St. Meinrad will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, May 4, 2013. A Mass of Thanksgiving will be said at St. Meinrad Catholic Church at 2 p.m.

An open house and reception will immediately follow at the Fulda Sportsman Club. The couple requests no gifts.

Wayne and Donna Kleaving of Tell City will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary April 16, 2013. The couple will be honored with an open house from noon to 4 p.m. April 14 at the St. Mark Church Parish Center, Highway 145.

Mr. Kleaving married the former Donna Leistner April 16, 1988, at St. Theresa Church in Evansville. The couple have one son, Travis, at home.
Mr. Kleaving is a self-employed farmer and works part time at Best Home Furnishings in Cannelton. Mrs. Kleaving is an administrative assistant at Lincoln Hills Development Corp.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Peter of Tell City will observe their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, March 2, 2013.

Albert “Bud” Peter and the former Paula Phelps were married at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City March 2, 1963. Their maid of honor was Lynda Delaisse and the best man was James Howe.

Marion “M.J.” and Patricia Saalman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 31, 2012.

Mr. Saalman and the former Patricia Goffinet were married Dec. 31, 1962, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City. The wedding party included maid of honor Charlotte Smith, bridesmaid Sandy Karney, best man Ronald Smith and groomsman Robert Goffinet.
The couple has four children, Scott Saalman of Jasper, Patrick Saalman of Tell City and the late Kimberly and Kristie Saalman. The also have two grandchildren, Austin and Delaney Saalman.
