  • Carol and Don Dauby

    Don and Carol Dauby of Tell City will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Oct. 7 surrounded by family and with a Mass at St. Paul Catholic Church.

    The couple first exchanged vows Oct. 7, 1967, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City.

    Don and the former Carol Sue Strobel have two children, Greg Dauby and his wife, Rae Ann, of Tell City and Nancy Dauby Meyer and her husband, Heath, of Carmel. They also have three grandchildren, Anthony Dauby of Tell City and Christina Meyer and Jake Meyer of Carmel.

  • Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Esarey

    Gilbert and Ruth Esarey of Bristow will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with an open house on Oct. 1st at Bristow Community Center from 1:30-3:30 Central time.

    Gilbert Esarey and Ruth Harpenau were married on Sept. 30, 1952, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Perry County.  Their attendants were Agnes (Harpenau) Hosler, James King, Peggy (Schellenberg) Harpenau and James Harpenau. 

  • Mr. and Mrs. Larry Beatty

    Floretta and Larry Beatty of Tell City celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last Sunday at a family gathering hosted by their daughter and her family.   

    They were married Sept. 14, 1957, at Evangelical United Church of Christ in Tell City. 

    The couple has two children, Darla (Chris) Goffinet of Tell City, and the late Marcia (Bill) Barth of Louisville, Ky. 

    Grandchildren are Lauren (Brittany Roark), Sarah and Reed Goffinet and Dylan, Conor and Colin Barth. 

  • Mary and Roy Raider

    Mary and Roy Raider of Grandview celebrated 50 years of marriage at a surprise party, hosted by their children and their families, July 15 at the Pour Haus in Tell City.

    They were first married Aug. 26, 1967, at First Christian Church in Columbus.

    The couple has two children, Rebecca (Scott) Kasmer of Avon and John Raider of Porter, Texas.

    Grandchildren are Rayden, Ganen and Austin Kasmer and Lucas and Gabriela Raider.

    Both Mary and Roy are retired.

  • Dorothy and Edward Hoffman

    Dorothy and Edward Hoffman will celebrate their 60-year reunion Aug. 24.

    They were married Aug. 24, 1957, in Bristow.

    The couple have five children, Ron Hoffman of West Lafayette, Vicky Hagan of Hawesville, Ky., Jane Schenk of Evansville, Jean Robinson of Orlando, Fla., and Jim Hoffman of Newburgh; and 11 grandchildren.

    Mr. Hoffman retired from Abbey Press in St. Meinrad. Mrs. Hoffman retired from Wal-Mart in Tell City. 

    Mrs. Hoffman is the former Dorothy Holman.

  • Kathy and Steve Schmidt

    Steve and Kathy Schmidt of Tell City will celebrate their 25th anniversary July 29 at the couple’s home with a family gathering.

    They were married July 25, 1992, at Tell City Baptist Church. The couple have three children, Lisa (Ponch) Martinez of Santa Claus, Shannon (Kayci) Amos of Floyds Knob and Shawnna (Marshall) Ritchie, and seven grandchildren.

    Mr. Schmidt is employed at ATTC. Mrs. Schmidt is retired from Branchville Correctional Facility.

    The couple will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary with a trip to Jamaica in the near future.

  • Eulalae and Hubert Hagedorn

    Hubert and Eulalae Hagedorn of Tell City celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with a Mass of thanksgiving June 11, at St. Mark Church. The Rev. Dennis Duvelius presided. They were married June 11, 1947.

    Their children are Ed (Brenda) Hagedorn of Lamar, Rosetta (James) Westmoreland of Salisburg, N.C., Don (Phyllis) Hagedorn of Evansville, Linus (Shirley) Hagedorn of Celestine, Rebecca (Paul) Hubert of Leopold, Rita (Francis) Etienne of Magnet and Marolyn (Dean) Flamion of Leopold.

    The couple also have 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

  • Faye and Dolph Foster Jr.

    Dolph Jr. and Faye Foster celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary June 7, 2017.

    Mr. Foster married the former Faye Sandage of Bristow during a private ceremony June 7, 1952, in Corydon.

  • York-Irwin

    Kayla York and Steven Irwin Jr., both of Tell City, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dora York of Tell City and Ronald York of Hawesville, Ky. The future groom is the son of Karen and Steve Irwin of Tell City.

    York is the granddaughter of the late Marvin “Whitey” and Roberta “Birdie” Powell and the late Fayette and Nellie York.

    Irwin is the grandson of the late Ben and Elsie McManaway and Norma and the late Avondis Diech.

  • Jane and Raymond Reed

    Raymond and Jane Reed of Cannelton celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on April 27. They were married April 27, 1957, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City.
    Katherine Cottingham, the couple’s daughter, and her husband Jerry of Tell City, along with their son Stephen Reed of Cannelton, will host a 60th anniversary celebration for friends and family June 24. Ray is a seasoned steel guitar player, and he will be accompanied by a band of musician friends for the barn celebration.
