• Eula and Clyde Smith

    Eula and Clyde Smith of Tell City will celebrate their 65th anniversary Nov. 19. The couple will have a dinner at Oakwood hosted by their family.

    The Smiths were married Nov. 19, 1950, at Evangelical United Church of Christ. Eula is the former Eula Malone.

    They have two children, Becky (Steve) Yadack of Owensboro, Ky. and Mary (Raymond) Lock of Tell City. They have three grandchildren, Ray Lock, Rachel Fortwendel and Melissa Evans. They also have three great-grandchildren, Ben Fortwendel, Ethan Evans and Erin Evans.

  • William and Carolyn Coomer

    Mr. and Mrs. William and Carolyn Coomer announce their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday Nov. 20.

    Bill and Carolyn were married in 1965 by Rev. Rose at the Rome Methodist Church, in Rome, where Bill was born and raised. He is the son of the late Joseph and Mary Coomer.

  • Jim and Sharla Adams

    Sharla and Jim Adams celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Aug. 30, 2015, with a celebration among family and close friends.

    Sharla and Jim were married at Lincoln Boyhood Chapel on Aug. 30, 1975.

    They have two children, Jayme (Matt) Goforth and Seth (Jessica) Adams and six grandchildren, Kaden, Kennedy, Matthew, Harper, Korynne and Georgia Grace.

  • Michael and Delores Kessans

    Michael and Delores Kessans will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary Sept. 20, 2015.

    Michael and the former Delores Carter were married Sept. 20, 1975, at St. Paul Catholic Church.

    They are the parents of two children, Kara Kessans of West Lafayette and Mika Knable of Georgetown. They also have two grandchildren, Cole and Lyla Knable.

    Delores retired from Cloverport Independent School System as a teacher and Michael was an electrician and owned Tom’s Electric in Tell City before his retirement.

    McKinley (Mac) and Vivian Roberts will celebrate their 74th wedding anniversary Sept. 13. 

    Mac and the former Vivian Poole were married Sept. 13, 1941, in Owensboro, Ky.

  • Bill and Wilma Barnhart

    Mr. and Mrs. William Barnhart of Tell City recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

    A celebration was held June 27, at the Habig Center in Jasper, hosted by the Barnharts’ four children, Priscilla (Richard) Campbell of Newburgh; Libby (Lee) Gengelbach and Peggy Hodskins, both of Tell City; and Doug Barnhart of Cabot, Ark.

    Bill and Wilma Barnhart were married Sept. 3, 1950, at Salem United Church of Christ in Huntingburg.  Mrs. Barnhart is the former Wilma Heim.

  • Lee and Deanna Moseby

    Lee and Deanna Moseby of Evansville recently celebrated their silver wedding anniversary.

    Mr. Moseby married the former Deanna Heeke Aug. 4, 1990, at Tell City Church of Christ.

    They are the parents of two children, Breanne  (John) Benton of Chicago and Bryce Moseby, who lives in Washington state. Their daughter and her husband also recently celebrated their one-year anniversary and the two generations of couples celebrated together with a family gathering that included cake and punch. Lee and Deanna are also planning a Caribbean cruise.

    Bill and Judy Rhodes of Tell City will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary Friday, Aug. 7, 2015.

    Mr. Rhodes and the former Judy Peak were wed Aug. 7, 1965, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City.

    They have a daughter, Missy (Rick) Rhodes Wilgus of Tell City and a grandson, Ross Wilgus.

    Bill is retired from Aleris in Lewisport, Ky. Judy was a waitress and hostess at the Patio Steak House in Tell City and at the Briar Patch in Owensboro, Ky.

  • Hubert and Darlene Etienne

    Hubert and Darlene Etienne of Washington will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary July 24, 2015, with their family.

    Hubert and the former Darlene Thomas were married July 24, 1965, at Sacred Heart Church in Magnet.

    They are the parents of Teri (Mike) Dunlavy of Wilkinson, Brett Etienne of Washington and Leigh (Derek) Latshaw of New Harmony, and the grandparents of Brittany and Tony Backer, Justin Dunlavy and Cade and Danner Latshaw.

    Mr. and Mrs. Etienne own Etiennes Farm Market.

  • Earl and Sandy Malone

    Earl and Sandy Malone of Newburgh, formerly of Tell City, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Saturday, June 20, 2015.

    A party will be hosted by their five children at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Bart Mulzer.

    Earl and the former Sandy Heitkemper were married June 25, 1955, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Tell City.

    They are the parents of Scott Malone, Sam Malone and Stacy Larsen, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; Steve Malone of Bloomington and Sally Mulzer of Newburgh.

    They have 10 grandchildren.
