Achievements

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Army Pvt. Julie E. Davis has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine weeks of training, Davis studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field-training exercises.

OWENSBORO, Ky. – Lauren Goffinet, a 2009 graduate of Tell City High School and the daughter of Chris and Darla Goffinet of Tell City, graduated summa cum laude from Kentucky Wesleyan College May 9.

TELL CITY – Diane K. Buntin was inducted into the Alpha Phi Theta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa at Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana March 22.
Buntin, from Tell City, is majoring in accounting and the daughter of Morris and Wilma Cail.

FORT JACKSON, S.C. – Army Pvt. Zachary W. Roberts has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.
During the nine weeks of training, Roberts studied the Army mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, and received instruction and practice in basic combat skills, military weapons, chemical warfare and bayonet training, drill and ceremony, marching, rifle marksmanship, armed and unarmed combat, map reading, field tactics, military courtesy, military justice system, basic first aid, foot marches and field training exercises.
