Junior- and senior-high students joined forces to paint, rake, wash windows, clean, weed, perform garden maintenance and blaze trails at designated locations across the county Nov. 4 during United Way of Perry County's Youth Day of Caring. The volunteer labor provided by volunteers saved the funded partners of United Way and local nonprofits many maintenance dollars and numerous hours of valuable time. Victoria Ridener, pictured here, was among several volunteers handling mulch at Glenwood Hills Campground and at Bright Beginnings Preschool in Tell City.
