Yard, bake sale and raffle benefit Friday, Saturday

REO – Angela Hall of Hawesville, Ky., will host a yard and bake sale and raffle on behalf of Marlyn Miller, formerly of Rockport, to help cover the bereavement costs incurred when Maryln’s fight with breast cancer ended Aug. 11. All money raised from the raffle and sales will go directly to Boultinghouse Funeral Home in Rockport.
The sale is set for 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the home of Laura Niceley, located next to Wendy’s on Indiana 66 in Reo, across from South Spencer High School. Organizers will have the area clearly marked with balloons and signs. The raffle drawings will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday.
Several businesses have contributed products or gift certificates to the raffle, including a $300 gift certificate for Po’Boy Photography in Hawesville; $71 gift certificate from Evans Tire in Tell City; $40 gift items from Darlena’s Gift Shop in Rockport; $25 gift certificate from O’Rielly’s Auto Parts in Tell City; $25 gift certificates from Ponderosa in Tell City and $50 gift basket from Sand and Shells Hair Salon in Hawesville.
