TELL CITY – William Tell Elementary will present “Making Good Families Better,” a free, eight-week program as a part of Strengthening Families.
The program will begin Jan. 6 and be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday evenings at the school. It is for children 6 to 11 years old and their parents and caregivers. Free family dinners will be provided during the meetings.
A homework club and child care will be provided for attendees.
Space is limited and those wishing to participate are asked to RSVP by Dec. 17. For more information or to register, contact Wendi Rich, family outreach coordinator, or April Susnjara, guidance counselor, at 547-9727.
Strengthening Families focuses on the strengths within each family member by offering ways of improving communication between youth and parents.
In this program, parents will learn how to more effectively set limits while still showing affection. Youth will develop skills in handling peer pressure and plan a positive future.
