TELL CITY - Stubborn ribbons of smoke rose over heaps of bricks and twisted steel Friday, two days after the largest fire in recent Tell City history destroyed the vacant William Tell Woodcrafters plant on Seventh Street. No one was injured in the blaze, which began shortly before 2 p.m. and was sparked by workers using cutting torches to salvage metal in the building before its scheduled demolition in coming weeks.
