TELL CITY - Debbie (McCallister) Howell "is doing very well, considering everything she's been through," according to County Treasurer Martha Wooldridge.
Howell, who works as a deputy in the treasurer's office, suffered smoke inhalation before being rescued from a burning home at 1034 12th St., Tell City, April 3.
She called 911 to report the fire and that she was trapped in the basement, and was pulled through one of its windows by firefighters and police officers.
