EVANSTON – Approximately 190 descendants of the Johann and Margaretha Wittman family met at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Evanston Sunday, Aug. 10, for a reunion and a carry-in dinner.

The oldest and youngest members attending were recognized and presented with homemade blankets. Junella Aldridge Fouch, age 88, was the oldest and traveled from Indianapolis to attend.

The youngest was 8-week-old Gunner Engelbrecht, son of Teague and Derika Engelbrecht and grandson of Paul Engelbrecht, all of Evanston. Hank and Marilyn Copeland traveled from Florida and were recognized as traveling the farthest distance to be in attendance.
