William Tell Elementary School provides information on opening

TELL CITY – Kindergarten through sixth-grade parents can take care of book rental fees and update students information either online starting Tuesday or at William Tell Elementary School during the following times: from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday; from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.
The textbook rental fees vary according to grade level. A complete list of book rental fees appears on Page 9 of today’s edition of the News. Bus routes will be posted in the newspaper later.
Families of the William Tell Elementary school community are invited to attend a back-to-school cookout on the school grounds from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. Families can enjoy hotdogs and drinks, entertainment, family activities, and more. Agencies will be set up to offer information about services available to families. School visitation is welcomed.
Kindergarten families are invited to a kindergarten orientation offered from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Aug. 12. Parents can take their child with them. Supervision and an activity will be provided.
The first day of school for all students is Aug. 13. The school day will begin at 8 a.m. There will be no early release Aug. 14.  The early release schedule will begin the following week Aug. 21.
The early release days are used for professional development.
