Weekend auditions for 1776

TELL CITY - Auditions for the 2008 Schweizer Fest stage production of 1776 continue Saturday and Sunday at Evangelical United Church of Christ's fellowship hall.

Auditions are 1 to 5 p.m. both days. The musical's 25 male roles and two female roles are open to residents of Perry, Spencer and Hancock counties 18 years and older.

Male characters include Thomas Jefferson and John Adams, while two women will be cast to portray Martha Jefferson and Abigail Adams. The preferred singing range for the two female characters is from middle C to the second F above middle C.
