TELL CITY – During the Dogwood Tour Saturday, April 26, The Tell City Historical Society will display early uniforms from the War of 1812 and period dresses worn by women of the early 1800s.
The historical pieces will be presented by Dave and Frances McBeth and Ron and Earlene Bower from Harrison County from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Also displayed will be equipment soldiers and militia would have used during the War of 1812.
Perry County was then known as Knox County, and men from the area fought in the War of 1812 in a regiment captained by Samuel Connor.
