INDIANAPOLIS—Freshman Amanda Wagner was named Butler University’s 2012-13 wo-men’s swim team’s Most Valuable Performer at the team’s awards banquet last month.
Wagner is a 2012 Tell City graduate and is a pre-pharmacy major at Butler.
During her first season at Butler, she was a member of two record-breaking relay teams.
Both records, the 200 medley relay and the 400 medley relay, were broken during the Atlantic 10 Conference meet in February. Wagner swan the breaststroke leg on both of them.
Individually she turned in the fourth fastest time in Butler history in the 100-yard breaststroke. She was the fastest female swimmer in the 100 breaststroke for the season and the third fastest in the 50 freestyle and 200 breaststroke.
