House must’ve floated down, director jokes

Managing Editor

TELL CITY – Local volunteers combing the banks of the Ohio River during River Sweep 2014 collected between 70 and 75 bags of trash, Ken Smith reported at a regular board meeting for the Perry County Recycling Management District June 24.

It was a “good working group (who) really did a good job,” the district’s executive director said. Items collected included tires, wheel rims and a “big, long piece of cable and other odds and ends (such as) wooden beams,” he said.
