TELL CITY - In 2008, an estimated 770,000 Americans will have heart attacks, and about 430,000 will have recurrent attacks. More than 70 million Americans live with some form of heart disease, which remains the leading cause of death in the United States.
Some heart attacks are sudden and intense, but most start slowly with some discomfort. People are often not sure what is wrong and wait too long before getting help. Some possible signs of heart attack are chest discomfort, pain in the jaw and neck and pain and discomfort in the arms.
