The 2 1/2 hour program, called a Living History Day of World War II, the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War, featured the school band and choral group. Many stories from the veterans were told and a retired Army officer was the guest speaker. More than 80 veterans sat on stage after being accompanied by their respective child, grandchild or great-grandchild. A reception followed the program. Gentry is the daughter of Michele (Heitkemper) and Chad Gentry. Heitkemper is a retired United States Navy Chief Petty Officer.
