Residential electric rates forecast to climb by 8.6 percent
TELL CITY - The Tell City Electric Department has proposed rate increases that would boost the cost of power provided to its customers by an average of 12.9 percent. If approved at a Jan. 7 meeting, the new schedule of rates and charges could take effect by April and could raise an estimated $1 million per year in additional revenue for the city utility.
