LYNNVILLE - Marissa Feagley pitched a perfect game as Tecumseh beat Cannelton 21-0 in girls softball Saturday.

Feagley struck out 11 in the five-inning game.

Tecumseh had only seven hits but scored eight runs in the first inning on just two hits.

Cannelton pitcher Shy May walked four and hit five batters that inning.

May pitched a complete game, walking 17, hitting seven, and striking out none.

The Bulldogs were also no-hit Monday in an 11-0 loss at Whitesville Trinity. That game went only four innings, though, as Kentucky has a 10-run rule after four innings.

Trinity scored nine unearned runs in the first inning, when Cannelton committed six errors.

"A lot of that has to with not being out (on a field for practice)," said Cannelton Coach Brian Garrett. "The only ground balls we've taken have been on a gym floor."

He also said that assigning positions for his young players "is a trial-and-error process now."

Stephanie Posey pitched a complete game for Cannelton, walking two and striking out four.

Posey, who drew a two-out walk in the first inning, was the only Cannelton runner to reach base.

Cannelton, 0-2, will visit Crawford County today at 4:30 p.m.
