CANNELTON—Cannelton gave up 36 runs in baseball losses to Shoals and Hancock County Friday.
“We were not ready to play at all,” said Cannelton Coach Mike Garrett. “It’s not the way you want to end your season before the sectional, that’s for sure.”
Shoals had 11 hits and drew 10 walks in a 14-4 win.
Larry Holman went 2 for 3 with a home run to lead Cannelton. Tristan Simmons added a double.
Drake Duke pitched the first inning for Cannelton to take the loss. He gave up three hits and four walks and struck out three.
