Two seek school board seats

Incumbent, newcomer place names on Cannelton ballot

CANNELTON - One incumbent and one newcomer filed candidacies for Cannelton's school board ahead of a noon, Friday deadline for completing paperwork at the county courthouse.

The terms of members Ed Bozarth and Bill Garrett expire this year. Garrett is seeking to retain his seat and Cory Faulkenberg, 4254 E. Indiana 66 hopes to assume Bozarth's position.

"I was told there would be a seat open and I thought I could do some good," Faulkenberg said Tuesday of his reason for filing.
