PERRY COUNTY – Separate investigations by the Tell City Police Department have led to the arrests of two men on sex charges.

David W. Holman, 43, of 709 10th St., was arrested July 14 on two counts of child molesting, both Class C felonies.

Lt. Alan Malone said the department worked with the Department of Child Services in the investigation.

According to a probable-cause affidavit , Holman allegedly fondled a girl several years ago.

Holman was lodged in the Perry County Jail but was released on $4,005 bail.

Burke Dupont, 27, of 6926 State Road 237, Cannelton, was arrested Sunday night by Tell City Patrolman Derrick Lawalin on a charge of sexual misconduct with a minor. Relatives of a teenage girl called police to report that Dupont had allegedly fondled the girl's breasts.

Lawalin said he interviewed the girl and Dupont and established probable cause for his arrest. Formal charges hadn't been filed as of Wednesday. Dupont is free on bail.
