Indiana 66, about three miles west of Troy, was closed for several hours Wednesday as emergency crews worked to remove two vehicles involved in a morning crash in Spencer County.
An initial report from the Spencer County Sheriff’s Department said two men were injured in the accident.
Matthew P. Gallagher, 20, of Tell City was westbound in a 2006 Toyota pickup when the accident occurred. He was transported by Life Flight to St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville with the most severe of his injuries sustained to his leg and hip.
Jeffery L. Lucas, 41, also of Tell City was eastbound in a 2012 Volkswagon Passat. He was taken by Life Flight to a University of Louisville hospital with multiple injuries.
Details of the crash are still under investigation.
