TELL CITY - An early-morning ATV accident left two people with serious injuries Saturday.
According to the Perry County Sheriff's Department, Timothy D. Jones, 29, and Nicholas G. Rockwell, 20, were taken to Owensboro Medical Health System by Perry County EMS.
Rockwell was released this week but Jones was listed Wednesday in serious condition.
Sheriff's Deputy Richard Kratzer said Jones was driving the 2007 Can-Am four-wheeler when it overturned, throwing him from the ATV. Rockwell was a passenger and was also thrown.
Jones suffered a large gash to his head and was unconscious at the scene, police said, while Rockwell was conscious but complained of pain.
Joshua Aders, the man who found the two men in the roadway, called police just after 3 a.m.
Kratzer said his investigation is continuing.
