Two charged with growing marijuana

TELL CITY – Police seized 13 marijuana plants Tuesday from a Main Street home in Tell City and arrested two people on charges of cultivating the drug.

According to Tell City Patrolman Derrick Lawalin, he, Perry County Chief Deputy Daymion Marsh and Indiana State Police Troopers Trey Lytton and George Wooten received information and obtained a warrant to search the home at 1134 Main St.

Inside, officers found 13 potted marijuana plants, processed marijuana and drug paraphernalia, Lawalin said.

Arrested were James W. Posey, 22 and Kimberly A. Curtis, 26. They face charges of cultivating marijuana, possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a common nuisance.

Both were lodged in the Perry County Jail on $10,105 bonds.
