LANESVILLE - Lanesville forced 19 Perry Central turnovers - 13 in the second half - and beat the Commodores 65-54 in boys basketball Saturday.
"In the first half when they used a 2-2-1 trap, we only had six turnovers," noted Perry Central Coach Matt Carter. "In the second half we cut their lead to seven and in the frontcourt we throw it away.
"We did a good job of handling their press up front, then when we got in the frontcourt and made bad decisions."
The Commodores cut the Eagles' led to seven, 45-38, as Nick Huber made two free throws with 5:51 left.
