Trojans blast Bulldogs

CANNELTON - Cannelton hit only 20.0 percent from the field and had trouble with Wood Memorial's half-court trap in a 56-24 boys basketball loss to the Trojans Wednesday.

The Bulldogs committed nine turnovers and went 1 for 12 from the field in the first quarter as they fell behind 19-2.

They would get no closer the rest of the way, as cold shooting and turnovers continued to plague them the next two quarters.

They trailed 48-11 with five minutes left in the game but outscored the Trojans 13-8 the rest of the way.
