WHITESVILLE, Ky.—Whitesville Trinity rallied for two runs with two outs in the bottom of the last inning to beat Cannelton 4-3 and complete a sweep of a baseball doubleheader Monday.

Trinity shut out Cannelton 5-0 on one hit in the first game.

Each game was scheduled for five innings, and Cannelton led 3-2 in the second game with two outs in the bottom of the fifth and no Trinity runners on base.

Trinity then beat out an infield hit on a slow dribbler down the third-base line.

A walk, a passed ball, and a two-run single to left field followed.

Cannelton scored the game’s first run on Tyler Aud’s RBI double in the first inning. Ethan Herzog added a double and scored a run in the Bulldogs’ two-run third inning.

Cody Lawalin pitched a complete game for Cannelton to take the loss. He gave up eight hits and one walk and struck out four.

Cannelton’s Justin Dooley led off the first game with a single. But the Bulldogs would not get another hit the rest of the game.

Aud was the losing pitcher in that game. He gave up six hits and two walks and struck out two in four innings.

Cannelton, 0-5, will visit South Central today at 5:15.
