Time to Change

-A A +A
By The Staff

Daylight saving time reverts to standard time Sunday, so don't forget to turn your clocks back one hour before going to bed Saturday. The official changeover occurs at 2 a.m.

Many fire departments encourage residents to change the batteries in their home smoke detectors when changing their clocks.

Daylight saving time resumes March 8.

(In another time-related issue, the government may stop inserting leap seconds into our calendars. A column by Managing Editor Kevin Koelling examines the matter in the Opinion section.)
