Tennessee authorities jail child-abuse suspect

TELL CITY - A 34-year-old man accused of molesting a child in Tell City's Sunset Park was arrested last week in Tennessee and could be in Perry County by week's end.

Local authorities were waiting Friday for Shawn A. Pickett, who lives in Antioch, Tenn., to waive extradition to Indiana, Tell City Detective Alan Malone said. Tell City police asked Tennessee authorities to arrest the man, who apparently visited Perry County between Aug. 1 and Oct. 6.
