Saturday: big picnic, parade, Duke Boys
TELL CITY - A New World city founded 150 years ago by Swiss and German newcomers to the United States will celebrate its history with a week of merrymaking that begins in just two days.
Opening-day events of the Tell City 2008 Sesquicentennial begin Saturday morning with a barbecue cook-off and community picnic.
A monumental parade, the largest since the city's centennial in 1958, will begin rolling at 2:30 p.m.
