Tell City VFW to mark 79-year anniversary

TELL CITY – Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2939 will celebrate its 79th anniversary Saturday at the VFW post in Tell City with a dinner and dance.
The ladies and men’s auxiliary units and VFW members, along with their spouses, are invited to at-tend.
The carry-in dinner will start at 6:30 p.m. Ev-eryone attending should take a covered dish. The post will furnish the meat.
After the meal, there will be a short program followed by a dance around 8 p.m. The band Sweetwater will provide the entertainment.
