EVANSVILLE - Dylan Froehlich placed fourth in the 215-pound weight class to lead Tell City to a tie for 11th place in Mater Dei's 17-team wrestling tourney Friday and Saturday.
Tell City scored 59 points. Mater Dei won with 219 points.
Froehlich went 3-2 with one pin.
He pinned M. Scott of Floyd Central in 2:53 in the first round and beat Carl Schenk of Providence 6-3 in the second round.
Josh Thomack of West Lafayette Harrison pinned Froehlich in the next round.
Froehlich came back to beat Mark Matthews of Franklin 8-2 before losing to John Kercher of Mater Dei 3-1 in the third-place match.
Keith Patrick, who placed sixth in the 119-pound class, was the only other Marksmen to reach the medal round. He went 3-2 with one pin.
A.J. Flynn (112-pound class), Joey Woznicki (135) and Greg Batie (heavyweight) each went 2-2 with one pin.
Tell City will wrestle at New Albany tonight at 5:30.
