Tell City students to present two one-act plays

-A A +A

TELL CITY – The public is invited to join the Tell City High School Drama Department for “An Evening of Theater” Friday, Saturday and Sunday."
The group will present two one-act plays each day, with the large cast coming together to perform “This is a Test” and “Take Five.”
The first play to be staged will be “This is a Test” and follows a main character who is still in school. The test she is taking will determine “her future” as one character explains.
The main character struggles as she didn’t get the review sheets, the teacher doesn’t seem to like her and her classmates are blatantly cheating. Time continues to pass and the voices in her head remind her though the test may be hard, her personal life is far worse.
In the production, “Take Five,” actors try to perform their play on opening night when several complications arise to hinder their performance. From a set that isn’t complete, an actor who doesn’t show up, a man who is using their stage phone to argue with his wife, props that don’t work or are missing and more, “Take Five” shows how these actors do all they can to keep the show going.
Shows start at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in the school’s auditorium. Tickets at the door will cost $4 per person. Tickets are only $3 pre-sale at the high school. If you have any questions, call 547-3131, Ext. 243.
