Tell City school earns health award

TELL CITY – Tell City Junior High School was awarded The Healthy Hoosier School Bronze Award.  This award recognizes Indiana schools with policies and educational programs in place promoting and supporting environments that create healthy students and healthy learners. 
The winners are selected for their exemplary levels of commitment to create an environment that encourage children to lead healthy lifestyles. The award application specifically addresses nutrition; physical activity; staff wellness and school environment. The Healthy Hoosier School Award is sponsored by the Indiana Department of Education, the Indiana School Health Network, Indiana Action for Healthy Kids, the Dairy and Nutrition Council of Indiana, Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent and Indiana University Health.
