Tell City parade plans include new date

TELL CITY – A Thanksgiving weekend tradition for many years, Tell City’s Christmas Parade is changing dates this year but will retain popular activities in City Hall Park, including a chili cook-off.

The Tell City Beautification Committee will host the parade and related events Saturday, Dec. 1. The parade has been held for many years the Sunday after Thanksgiving but was pushed back this year by planners who felt the busy Thanksgiving holiday kept some people away.
