TELL CITY – The winter storm that dumped ice and snow Friday caused the postponement of Tell City’s Christmas Parade by a week.
The mayor’s office announced Friday afternoon that the parade and Christmas in the Park festivities will be held this Saturday, Dec. 14. Times remain the same, with the parade getting underway at 4 p.m. A chili cook-off, visits with Santa, caroling and other activities in City Hall Park will be held from 2 to 4 p.m.
Parade lineup will begin at 3 p.m. in the student parking lot at Tell City High School. The parade will follow the traditional route along Tell and Main streets.
With the delay, there is still time to sign up for the chili cook-off. The cost for each chili station is $10. Completed forms, along with payment, are due by tomorrow. To enter, call the visitors bureau at 547-7933.
