REO—Tell City had assists on 17 of its 22 field goals in a 55-38 PAC girls basketball win over South Spencer Thursday.
Hannah Schaefer had 10 assists, one short of Laura McClintic’s school record, and McKenzie Hayes added seven.
“There were numerous times if we could’ve hit point-blank shots we could have gotten (Schaefer) the record,” said Tell City Coach John Lyons.
The Marksmen still shot well from the field overall, making 22 of 43 for 51.2 percent.
