HAWESVILE, Ky. - Tell City hit 60.5 percent from the field and beat Hancock County 69-56 in boys basketball Friday.
Hancock County also shot well, hitting 52.2 percent from the field.
Both teams worked the ball inside for most of their shots - they combined to make only one three-point basket.
Nineteen of Hancock County's 24 field goals came from within 9 feet of the basket, including the first 13 the Hornets made.
Senior guard Garrett Helm used good penetration to make nine inside shots before he hit an 18-footer and a 13-footer late in the third quarter.
