Tell City loses 2 PAC matches

TELL CITY—Tell City won the top two singles matches but Heritage Hills won the rest to beat the Marksmen 3-2 in PAC girls tennis Tuesday.

Bethany Peter defeated Eva Brenner 6-1, 6-4 in No. 1 singles.

Jenelle Clausen beat Kelley Pund 6-1, 6-1 in No. 2.

Heritage Hills won the other matches in straight sets.

Tell City also lost a PAC match at Pike Central 4-1 Saturday.

Clausen was Tell City’s only winner in that match. She went three sets to beat Sheri Neukam 6-0, 4-6, 6-0.

Tell City’s doubles teams each played two close sets, with the first set of No. 2 doubles going to a tie-breaker.

Tell City, 1-8 overall and 0-6 in the PAC, will play at North Posey today at 5:30 p.m. and will host Southridge for a makeup match Monday at 4 p.m.

2. Shanique Satterfield and Brittany Corn (PiC) beat Brooke Birchler and Alexis Braun 7-6 (7-5), 7-5.
